Operations
Every SAP Basis system must be controlled and managed by an administrator. The person responsible ensures smooth operation of the system. This can be an internal administrator, or can be handed over to external service providers.

It is therefore not unusual for the authorisation allocations to be regularly reviewed in the course of a revision or by external auditors. This is a very laborious process with SAPS standard tools. In this scenario, an authorisation administrator would first have to manually assign each employee to a specific manager and determine their roles. After that, these roles should be exported from the system (for example, to an Excel file) and then submitted to the supervisor so that he can decide whether the role assignment is appropriate or not.
A DECISION TO CREATE YOUR OWN, OR IT SERVICES FOREIGN
If regulations for the standardisation of SAP systems or tasks and procedures are in place, they must also be consistently complied with and their compliance must also be verified. In case of non-compliance, for example due to project influences or technological problems, the exception must be returned to the standard in a timely manner. Resources must be made available for this.

For administrators, a useful product - "Shortcut for SAP Systems" - is available in the SAP basis area.

On "www.sap-corner.de" you will also find useful information about SAP basis.

The SAP Security for Administrators training block covers the basics of security when using SAP systems.
