Challenges in authorization management
RSUSR003
The chapter on authorization recertification should also be defined in the authorization concept, which is documented in writing. This refers to a regular review of the assigned authorizations in the SAP® system, to be performed at least once a year. In the course of this process, the responsible departments should review the assignment of the respective roles to users in their area and critically scrutinize it once again. This process ultimately ensures that users only have the authorizations in the SAP® system that they actually need. It must therefore be defined in which time period and in which form the departments must receive the information about the assigned authorizations and report back regarding the correctness of the assignment. During preparation, it is therefore necessary to check whether the process has been carried out in accordance with the internal specifications, but also in accordance with possible suggestions for optimization made by the auditor, and whether all the evidence is stored ready to hand for the auditor.

To release jobs - own jobs or jobs of other users - a permission for the object S_BTCH_JOB with the expression JOBACTION = RELE is still required. In running operations, scheduled batch jobs may be cancelled because a step user is deleted or locked. With the help of the BTCAUX09 programme, you can check jobs as an administrator to see if they can be cancelled in the future. If you want to run these jobs under another step user, you can change them either with the transaction SM37 or with the report BTC_MASS_JOB_CHANGE.
Permissions checks
You have now successfully recorded the blueprint. Now the slightly trickier part follows: The identification of the values to be changed at mass execution. In the editor of your test configuration, at the bottom of the text box, is the record you have created: TCD ( PFCG , PFCG_1 ). Double-click the PFCG_1 interface. On the right, a new detail with the recording details appears. Now you have to look for your input a bit. For example, use the role name entered on the PFCG entry screen (field name 'AGR_NAME_NEW'). Now comes an important step: Replace the values you entered during the recording with a placeholder, a so-called input parameter. To do this, go to the VALIN line and type any parameter name, such as ROLLENNAME, instead of the role name you entered. Click Enter and you will be asked what type of parameter it is. Specify Import and confirm with Yes.

The possibility of assigning authorizations during the go-live can be additionally secured by using "Shortcut for SAP systems".

SAP Note 1854561 provides a new possible value for the auth/authorisation_trace parameter: F (Trace enabled with filter).
