Limitations of authorization tools
In the transaction, select SU10 by login data of users
We now want to describe the necessary settings in the sending application using the example of encrypted sending of initial passwords. To implement this requirement, you can use the BAdI BADI_IDENTITY_UPDATE. This BAdI is also only available via a support package starting from SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.31. For details on the relevant support packages, see SAP Note 1750161. To implement the BAdIs, use the transaction SE18; there you can also see the example class CL_EXM_IM_IDENTITY_UPDATE. For the BAdI BADI_ IDENTITY_UPDATE, you must implement the SAVE method to the IF_BADI_IDENTITY_UPDATE interface.

For the scenario of sending initials passwords, signing emails is not so relevant. Although it is possible to send an encrypted e-mail with a fake sender address, in this case the initial passwords in the system would not work. It looks different when you send business data; In such cases, verification of the sender via a digital signature is recommended. If you want to send e-mails digitally signed, we advise you to send them at the system's e-mail address. To do this, use the SEND_EMAIL_FOR_USER method described and place the sender's tag on the system. In this case, you need a public key pair for your ABAP system, which is stored as a Personal System Security Environment (PSE). For a detailed description of the configuration, including for verification and decryption of received emails, see the SAP Online Help at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/d2/7c5672be474525b7aed5559524a282/frameset.htm and SAP Note 1637415.
Advantages of authorization concepts
The valid programmes or transactions are stored in the SAP TPCPROGS delivery table, but do not follow a uniform naming convention. Part of the transaction code (e.g. AW01N), part of the report name (e.g. RFEPOS00), or the logical database (e.g. SAPDBADA) is relevant here. Logical databases (e.g. SAPDBADA, SAPDBBRF) are basic data selection programmes and are particularly used in financial accounting. The permission checks, including the time period delimitation, are implemented in the logical database and work for all reports based on a logical database (e.g. the RAGITT00 grid is based on SAPDBADA and the RFBILA00 balance sheet report is based on SAPDBSDF). When you copy the values from the TPCPROGS table, the TPC4 transaction is quickly configured.

Secure your go-live additionally with "Shortcut for SAP systems". You can assign necessary SAP authorizations quickly and easily directly in the system.

At "www.sap-corner.de" you will also find a lot of useful information on the subject of SAP authorizations.

In addition, the preset authorization roles of the SAP system should never be overwritten or deleted, but only copies of them should be created, which can then be adapted as desired.
