Object S_BTCH_NAM and S_BTCH_NA1 (use of foreign users in Steps)
Dissatisfaction and unclear needs in the process
Users of your Web applications should have access to the applications that correspond to their particular business roles. You can use the S_START authorization object to map this request in the PFCG roles. Applications based on SAP products offer users different access methods, of which the use of SAP GUI with application-related SAP transactions is to be called "classic". In Web applications, application interfaces are represented in a Web browser. Not only transactional processes, but also the display of results from data analyses or static facts should be supported. The SAP transaction model, which controls access through the S_TCODE authorization object, does not meet these requirements.

If you select the SU24 Data Initialisation button, step 1 is the same and you overwrite your SU24 data with the SU22 data for the selected applications. The Auto Sync selection corresponds to step 2a. All new SU22 data will be transferred to the transaction SU24. Modified SU24 data is detected and must be matched manually. However, this information is provided to you in the Determined Synchronisation Status column. If you want to keep your SU24 data as it is for certain applications, select the button Set Status"Verified". To give you more transparency about the impact of your activities, there is a role usage proof via the Roles button. This allows you to check the roles in which the selected applications are used. With the Change Preview selection, you can see which suggestion values would be changed for your selection in the transaction SU24.
Risk: historically grown authorizations
The customising objects you have just created are now integrated into your own IMG structure. To do this, open the SIMGH transaction again, call your structure in Change mode, and paste it under the previously created folder by selecting Action > Insert a Level Lower. You should already create a documentation of the same name with the installation of the Customising objects. To do this, select the Create button on the Document tab and write a text to save it and then activate it.

The possibility of assigning authorizations during the go-live can be additionally secured by using "Shortcut for SAP systems".

The website "www.sap-corner.de" offers a lot of useful information about SAP authorizations.

This is a trace that collects authorization data over a longer period of time in several clients and user-independently and stores it in a database (table USOB_AUTHVALTRC).
