Maintain derived roles
An SAP authorization concept is used to map relevant legal standards and internal company regulations to the technical protection options within an SAP system. Authorization concepts are thus the key to optimal protection of your system - both externally and internally.
You can limit the recording to a specific user. You can also use the trace to search only for permission errors. The evaluation is similar to the evaluation of the system trace in the transaction ST01. In transaction STAUTHTRACE, however, you can also evaluate for specific authorization objects or for specific permission check return codes (i.e. after positive or negative permission checks). You can also filter multiple entries.
User Information System (SUIM)
A user reports that he or she is receiving a permission error even though you have granted him or her the required permissions. This could be due to a faulty buffering of the permission data. Although a user has been assigned a role with the correct permission data, this user is presented with a permission error due to missing permissions. This may be surprising at first glance, but it can almost always be fixed by a short analysis.
During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.
At "www.sap-corner.de" you will also find a lot of useful information on the subject of SAP authorizations.
With the introduction of the new general ledger, SAP has technically merged the financial accounting and the profit centre account, so that the question of the inclusion of profit centre allowances in FIs becomes even more important.
