Trace after missing permissions
Emergency user concept
The setting of the modification flag used to determine the proposed values to be matched is imprecise. Learn about a new process that uses timestamps. Upgrade rework for suggestion values and roles must be performed not only upon release change, but also after inserting plug-ins, support packages, enhancement packages, or other software components, such as partner solutions. These rework can be complex if the underlying selection of proposed values cannot be restricted. Therefore, a new procedure has been introduced in the transaction SU25, which restricts the proposed values to be compared using a time stamp.
You can assign a Table or Care View to a table through the SE11 transaction or SE54 transaction. This mapping is defined as a customising setting and therefore remains in place after a release change. You can assign a table to a table permission group by using the SE11 transaction by selecting your table in the start image and pressing the Display button.

You have developed applications yourself and would like to maintain suggestion values for them? The easiest way to do this is with the help of the permission trace. Permission checks are also performed on self-developed applications. These applications must therefore be included in the PFCG rolls. If they are maintained in a role menu, you will notice that in addition to the start permissions (such as S_TCODE), no other authorization objects are added to the PFCG role. The reason for this is that even for customer-specific applications suggestion values must be maintained to ensure that the PFCG role care runs according to the rules and to facilitate the care for you. Up to now, the values of customer-owned applications had to be either manually maintained in the PFCG role, or the suggested values maintenance in the transaction SU24 was performed manually.
During go-live, the assignment of necessary authorizations is particularly time-critical. The "Shortcut for SAP systems" application provides functions for this purpose, so that the go-live does not get bogged down because of missing authorizations.

For us, it has proven itself, in the name of the new function block, the name BTE and the number of the template (here: 1650).
